Rush for Riverwalk
Robina Land Corporation’s 38 Riverwalk Avenue apartment building has enjoyed a $6 million sales flurry as buyers have rushed to secure a lifestyle spot on the doorstep of the popular Robina Town Centre.
Eleven sales in a matter of weeks have left only four apartments available in the 10-level lakefront building, which is a short and picturesque stroll from the bustling shopping centre.
The sales rush at 38 Riverwalk is a shining light in a Gold Coast City apartment market that has been dogged by low sales levels and by receivers taking control of projects.
Brinton Keath, of Colliers International, says 38 Riverwalk’s success is testament to the fact that Robina is significantly less susceptible to the rises and falls of the tourist driven coastal property market.
“Given this is where the locals prefer to live and work, Robina over a 15 to 20 year period, has provided more stable returns.
“This being especially the case when times are tougher.
“The new owners in 38 Riverwalk are now buying with real confidence as they know that this is a blue chip, prime development and such property is not susceptible to short term market implications.
Just a short stroll to Gold Coast City’s most vibrant shopping centre, 38 Riverwalk is also within easy reach of a hospital, a railway station, a rugby league stadium, schools and a host of professional and medical services.
“Of course, the recently refurbished town centre not only offers a retail smorgasbord, but also an array of dining and entertainment options.”
Mr Keath says 38 Riverwalk’s welcome sales success coincides with a surge in the number of people, particularly local owner-occupiers, inspecting the completed building’s three furnished display apartments.
“Nine of the eleven sales have been to Gold Coast City residents wanting to enjoy the Riverwalk lifestyle which is now real and very present.
“This lifestyle on the very doorstep of the project makes our job as marketing agents extremely easy.”
The four remaining apartments start at $499,000, with both two and three bedroom options available.
The 38 Riverwalk Avenue building is the final and pre-eminent component of Robina Land’s chic Riverwalk precinct, which was started six years ago and comprises 10 buildings that are home to 398 apartments and terrace homes.
Sales in the Riverwalk precinct have topped $200 million.
The 43 apartments in 38 Riverwalk Avenue are two and three-bedrooms, face north-east with panoramic views, and are between 118 and 159sqm.
They feature stone benchtops, air-conditioning, European appliances, separate laundries, twin-vanity en suites, and large balconies overlooking the beautifully landscaped Lake Lido waterway.
Residents’ facilities include an inviting horizon-edge inground pool, a barbecue, a function room, security entry and intercom, a port cochere and in-house management.
There is a display centre on the ground floor of 38 Riverwalk and its three furnished display apartments are each on different levels.
The centre is open from 10am to 5pm daily and staff can be contacted on 55933911.
