This Sunday 23 November, Gold Coast City is celebrating all things France, with the inaugural Sunshine Renault Bonjour French Festival bring a piece of Paris to Evandale Parklands in Bundall.

The free festival will celebrate French culture in all its facets, offering an opportunity for the Gold Coast City community to share in a rich cultural experience, including French food, music, art, sport and educational activities.

Licenced areas with bars will sell fine French wine and French a la carte promises a divine taste of France, courtesy of Sofitel Gold Coast’s signature restaurant Room 81.

French festivities promise entertainment for the entire family.

There’ll be a traditional bustling French produce market offering French wares to delight your senses. French a la carte in the park will tantalise taste buds with the option to purchase famous and traditional French cuisine presented by local Gold Coast French restaurants, including Sofitel Gold Coast’s fine dining restaurant Room 81.

French, New Caledonian and local Gold Coast City musicians will entertain guests throughout the day with French inspired music, joined by a range of street performers and roving artists.

Fine art will be displayed in various pop-up galleries, from selected local and French artists and for the budding young artists, French crafts and games in the children’s corner will be on offer all day.

Car fans, expect to be amazed by the classic car displays courtesy of Peugeot, Citroen and Renault Classic Cars of Queensland respectively.

Not to be missed is the Street Culture Hub, where contemporary French culture from the streets of Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux and Lyon will be transported to Gold Coast City. Expect to be wowed by graffiti art, chalk art display, hip hop dancing and funky MC’s.

The Bonjour French Festival has teamed up with local Gold Coast City schools and universities with French programs, including Bond University Robina, all of whom will deliver French inspired projects during the festivities.
