A private investor has secured Space 1 at Robina Group’s $14 million CityPod development at CBDRobina, leaving just two offices remaining in the first two stages of the project.

The Bundaberg-based buyer snapped up the 208sqm stand alone office through his self managed super fund for an undisclosed price, in a deal negotiated by Ray White Surfers Paradise commercial sales specialist Adam Young.

Situated on Scottsdale Drive in the expanding M1 Business Precinct, the stand alone offices have continued to attract attention since their completion at the start of the year, prompting Robina Group to release stages three and four off-the-plan in July.

CityPods range from 163sqm to 304sqm, with eight in the completed stages one and two and a further seven being constructed by Bennett Constructions in stages three and four, with completion expected at the end of the year.

Companies including national medical device distribution specialist Pyramed and design and construction management company Airport Consulting Group are already operating from the precinct.

Mr Young said the quality of the location, design and innovative approach to the CityPods development had appealed to the investor.

“The buyer has bought a number of commercial properties in the last couple of months and this sale is really a hallmark of where buyers are at in the current market,” he said.

“There is an increased appetite for quality commercial investments.

“Robina continues to grow in popularity with commercial land in the M1 Business Precinct all but sold out and major companies continuing to move into the area, such as the recent opening of the new Masters super hardware store.

“Both buyers and tenants see the potential and the fact this precinct is only going to continue to grow in the years to come.”

Mr Young said Ray White Surfers Paradise was also handling the leasing campaign for Space 1, CityPods, through office leasing consultant Renee Hughes, and had already fielded a number of enquiries.

“We have received strong interest from a fitness related business and an education facility,” he said.

“CityPods offer a really funky, fun and well designed commercial property and that is why they have been so popular.

“There is nothing else like them on the market. They fill the gap for those businesses who don’t necessarily want to be based out of an office tower.

“This precinct gives them close proximity to significant residential pockets and the M1, along with ample on site carparking.”
