Construction has started on Robina Group’s $34 million Riverlily community following the sale of all 71 terrace homes in less than three months.

Builder ICD Group has started work with the first stage of 35 two and three-bedroom homes due for completion by Christmas and the entire community to be finished by June next year.

Situated in a secluded waterside position near Cbus Super Stadium at the heart of Robina, the secure community will feature a mix of 57 three-bedroom homes, including 28 on the waterfront, and 14 two-bedroom terraces.

ICD Group director Matthew Kemp said the construction team would be working hard to complete the community.

“We have an ambitious target set to complete the first stage in just 21 weeks, so the first residents can be in their new home in time for the festive season,” Mr Kemp said.

“This is the first time we have worked on a Robina Group development and we look forward to delivering the homes to the high standard the company has been renowned for over its three decades of developing property in this area.”

Robina Group project manager James Fletcher said the development would provide a boost for the local economy, with more than 350 construction workers to be employed during the build.

“Over the years of developing Robina, we have appointed a range of regional and national construction companies,” Mr Fletcher said.

“We are pleased to have a locally based firm like ICD Group, whose headquarters is in the Logan area, on board for Riverlily and employing workers from the area to build this brand new community.

Mr Fletcher said Riverlily had struck a chord with buyers.

“These homes offer the latest in modern inner city living, with a low maintenance design and location that puts residents at the heart of all the key amenities and services they could need,” he said.

“It is close to the train station and the hospital.”
