Celebrate the commencement of a well-earned end of year break with some of the exciting Gold Coast City events taking place across the weekend and over the Christmas and New Year period.

Broadwater Parklands will host Christmas Markets tonight and throughout the weekend, featuring shimmering Christmas lights, the magical sounds of Christmas carols and a delectable range of once a year, indulge yourself, gourmet Christmas treats. For last minute shoppers, expect unique gift ideas and Christmas wares for all your family and the big man in red, Santa, will be stopping by via helicopter at 5pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Celebrate the end of the working year with multiple music events across Gold Coast City. Burleigh Brewing Co. hosts Friday Brew Jams tonight, featuring Deadmans Creek or see Karl S. Williams rock the Soundlounge with a funky mix of blues meets banjo, old American style.

Round out the weekend by celebrating Christmas Gold Coast City style with Surfers Paradise Carols on the Beach this Sunday night (21 December 2014).
